Picture of Bonnie taken by
Mikey Pozarik
Actress Bonnie Sveen is best known for her role on popular Australian Drama Home and Away playing the character of Ricky Sharpe. Last year she took out the Logie for best female new Talent and has been nominated for the Silver Logie for best actress 2015.

In addition to being a talented Actress and Artist, who's star is rapidly ascending,  Bonnies natural beauty is equally remarkable and is something I can attest to having worked with her on the set of Home and Away.

Makeup just enhances and brings out her beautiful features.  I was lucky enough to interview her for my Bgirl BLOG so here Bonnie shares with us just how she keeps her skin looking so fresh and gorgeous and she also fills us in on her beauty secrets.

Laura:  Describe your makeup style?
Bonnie: Natural - covering blemishes, dark circles, maybe a bit of mascara.

Laura:  If you are going out for the day what would be your makeup routine?
Bonnie: I would fill in my eyebrows, concealer on sunspots, under eyes and in sockets, mascara, foundation, bronzer - contouring cheeks and hairline and maybe some lip stain.

Laura: What is your nighttime skin care routine?
‪Bonnie: Make up remover on eyes (trying not to lose any of my precious eyebrow and eyelash hairs) and cetephil cleanser with warm water followed by Dermalogica skin smoothing moisturizer.

Laura: How do you keep your skin looking so good?
Bonnie: Um... Thank you!  try to consume 2-3 litres water everyday, vitamin C (apparently also helps keep you hydrated) good fats - avocado on toast everyday, plus coconut and  almond/macadamia oils, iron rich veggies for dinner EVERYDAY, lots of salmon, regular sleep, daily sunscreen... Come to think of it, I try my best to take care inside out!

Laura:  What are some of your favourite makeup brands?
Bonnie: I love Mac make up colours and Dermalogica skincare products and KMS Hair Repair, especially the leave in moisturizer.

Laura:  What top 5 makeup products do you need in your makeup bag?
Bonnie: Foundation (plus brush) mascara, bronzer, tinted balm/lip stick, concealer.

Laura:  What is your no 1 beauty secret/tip?
‪Bonnie: Hmm... Always finish on a high note when you step away from the mirror - note the things that are looking fabulous in your reflection! Carry that confidence with you for the rest of your day. A glow and self love speak volumes in aesthetics.

My Exclusive Interview with Tahan Lew

Tahan Lew is a beautiful and glamorous Australian model and television personality, widely recognised for Big Brother 2013, where she became one of the most loved and talked about female housemates, defying the odds to make it all the way to the final 3.

Tahan
Stoic, funny and engaging personality aside, while watching the show it was hard to deny Tahan's striking exotic blend of Malaysian and Aboriginal beauty.

I recently had the pleasure of styling Tahan's makeup for the V8 Supercar Gala Awards and I was absolutely flawed by her charming nature and youthful natural beauty - she was a real joy to work with.

Here, Tahan took the time to share her beauty routine, tips and favourite beauty products with our Beautiful Girl Makeup blog readers. Enjoy...

Laura:  Describe your makeup style?
Tahan:  I would say my make up style during the week for causal outings and work is very natural! I only use a bit a of MAC concealer with a bit of bronzer to blend in with my natural tan. Bit of pink blush (light), light eyeliner and then Blistex with lip liner lightly rubbed in. I cheat a lot for casual outings and that normally takes 10 mins if that. For night outs or special occasions I like the fake lashes look dark eye in terms of eyeliners around the eye light eye shadow pink blush and dark lip. I love a maroon lip colour with my complexion.

Product Review - Estee Lauder Day Wear Sheer Tint Release Advance Multi-Protection Anti-Oxidant Moisturizer SPF 15

A favourite product of mine at the moment is the Estee Lauder Day Wear Sheer Tint Release.  I had been looking for a product like this for sometime; something designed to achieve a healthy and even complexion, that could also be worn during the day, with or without foundation.  I heard about this product from a fellow makeup artist and decided to try it out.

To the touch it has a light grey-ish colour with a grainy texture, but once applied it blends well and you quickly notice improvement in your skin tone.  It has a slight tint to it but doesn't give you full coverage; if 'full coverage' is something your looking for, then this product is best used under your foundation.  It also has a fresh pleasant mild scent, reminiscent of cucumber; if that is not your thing you may want to do a sniff test before purchasing.

What I love about this product is you can use it all year round. In summer you can wear it with a slick of mascara, a little cream blush and a touch of pretty gloss on your lips. Or during winter, when you want to liven up your complexion with a hint of colour, you can simply apply it as a base, under your foundation.

The only downside, if anything, is it only offers SPF 15 protection - given my usage I would have preferred a factor of  at least SPF 30. Saying that however, this product is a must have in my makeup bag. I'd be interested to know if you have tried it and what you think.
